Making fun of an old man who trips on the stairs or falls on his bike is not the same as making fun of an old man who is balding but does comb overs, makeup and ridiculous amounts of hairspray and most likely hair pieces to cover up his aging. Not to mention painting his skin orange to not look like a ghostly relic.

The former is what happens when all people get older, the second is what happens when older men refuse to accept it and fail to hide all their physical defects... The former has optimism and confidence the later does not.
